Where are you located? The Historic Eagle House is located at 124 C Street in the heart of Old Town Eureka, California — steps from Humboldt Bay, local restaurants, boutique shops, and the Eureka waterfront.
Is parking available? Parking is available in several locations surrounding the Historic Eagle House. Directly behind the building is a City of Eureka public parking lot — please note that as of April 1, 2026, this lot now charges for parking Monday through Saturday from 9am–6pm. Payment is easy through the Passport Parking app, which you can download before your arrival. Parking in this lot is free after 6pm and all day Sunday. There are also free parking lots directly across the street next to Madaket Plaza, and additional street parking is available on 2nd and C Streets surrounding the building.

Do you allow pets? Yes — we are a pet-friendly boutique hotel! Well-behaved pets are welcome in select 2nd and 3rd floor rooms, subject to availability. A pet fee of $25 per pet applies for the first night and $15 per pet for each subsequent night. A signed pet agreement is required at check-in. We recommend mentioning your pet when booking so we can do our best to assign you one of our pet-friendly rooms.
Is the Eagle House haunted? We get this question a lot — and with good reason. The Eagle House has 138 years of history within its walls and more than a few stories to tell. Guests have reported unexplained experiences over the years, and the building's long and storied past certainly lends itself to a certain atmosphere. We'll let you decide for yourself. Read the full history of the Eagle House to learn more.
Can I request a specific room? Each of our 23 guest rooms is individually named and appointed — no two are alike. While we aren't able to guarantee specific room requests at booking, you're welcome to note a preference in the booking notes and we'll do our very best to accommodate you. Rooms are assigned based on availability and room type booked.

What room types do you offer? We offer four room categories — Suites, Premium King Deluxe, Queen Deluxe, and Classic rooms. Each category features unique Victorian furnishings, antique character, and modern amenities. Visit our Room Descriptions page to explore each room individually.

Do your rooms have private bathrooms? Yes — all guest rooms at the Inn at 2nd & C have private en-suite bathrooms.

Is there a elevator? Yes — the Eagle House does have an elevator, though as with many features of our beloved 138-year-old Victorian landmark, it has a personality of its own. The elevator is operational the vast majority of the time, but if mobility access is essential to your stay we recommend calling our front desk at 707-444-3344 before arrival to confirm it's in working order. We're always happy to help plan ahead to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Are any rooms accessible? We have several rooms on our lower floors that are more accessible than others. Please note that a small number of our Queen Deluxe rooms — the Mabel Gustafson, Crimson Rose, and Boudoir — have one to three interior steps and are not recommended for guests with mobility considerations. Contact us directly and we'll find the right room for you.

Is breakfast included? Yes — a complimentary continental breakfast is included with every room booking, served daily from 7:30–11am. We take pride in offering mostly organic and locally sourced offerings, including freshly baked bagels and pastries from local bakers, artisan breads, seasonal fresh fruit, hard-boiled eggs, and yogurt cups. To drink, we serve fresh orange juice, locally roasted coffee, and Harney & Sons tea. It's a lovely way to ease into a Humboldt morning before heading out to explore.

Do you offer a loyalty or rewards program? Yes — we offer a loyalty discount for guests who've stayed with us three or more times. We also offer a Business Loyalty Program for our local businesses. Visit our Business Loyalty page for details or ask our front desk team.

What is your cancellation policy? Typically it's 72 hours prior to your arrival, however, please refer to the cancellation policy outlined at the time of booking, as terms may vary by rate and season. For specific questions about your reservation, contact our front desk at 707-444-3344.
