GUEST ROOMS & SUITES AT THE INN AT 2ND & C

in Old Town Eureka
Each of the 23 guest rooms at the Inn at 2nd & C is entirely its own — named, storied, and furnished with magnificent antiques that reflect the Eagle House's 138-year history. No two rooms are alike, which is part of what makes staying here so memorable. While specific room requests can't be guaranteed at booking, you're welcome to note a preference and we'll do our very best to accommodate you.

SUITES
Our four suites are the pinnacle of the Inn at 2nd & C experience — spacious, magnificent, and furnished with antiques that tell the story of the building itself. Each features a luxuriously dressed king-size bed and a separate sitting area with a pullout sofa bed with memory foam mattress, making them ideal for couples who want extra space or small groups traveling together.

Buon Gusto Suite
Named for the legendary restaurant that once occupied the Eagle House, this corner suite overlooks 2nd and C Streets with a king-size bed and a comfortable sitting area with pullout sofa. History, comfort, and a name worth raising a glass to.
Georgia Massei Suite
Named for the formidable matriarch of the Massei family — who ran the Buon Gusto with an iron cane and universal love — this 2nd Street suite is as commanding as its namesake. A decadent king-size bed and spacious sitting area with pullout sofa make it one of our most sought-after rooms.
Harbor View Suite
Our crown jewel. This fourth floor penthouse suite offers sweeping views of Humboldt Bay, a generous sitting area with pullout sofa, and a separate bedroom alcove with a king-size bed. A private connecting door adjoins the Queen Penthouse — perfect for groups or families wanting adjacent accommodation.
Moonrakers Suite
This spacious third floor suite faces 2nd and C Streets with a king-size bed and a sitting area with a very comfortable pullout sofa. Named with a nod to Old Town's seafaring past, it's a room that feels both grand and grounded.

PREMIUM KING DELUXE ROOMS
Our five Premium King Deluxe rooms combine Victorian grandeur with modern comfort — each featuring a luxuriously dressed king-size bed, flat screen TV, and a sitting area furnished with exquisite antiques. These are rooms that reward a slow morning.

Frederick Henry Room
This generous second floor corner room overlooks 2nd Street and feels immediately like somewhere special. A king-size bed, spacious sitting area, and a gorgeous antique armoire give it a warmth and character that's hard to leave behind.
Norman Steinbock Room
Located off our second story balcony overlooking 2nd Street, this king room has an easy, settled charm. It adjoins the Grace Osborne Room — ideal for two couples or a small group traveling together.
Curly Maple Room
The showpiece of this second floor room is its magnificent antique curly maple furniture — striking, warm, and unlike anything you'll find in a chain hotel. King-size bed, TV, and a generous sitting area round out a room that's as comfortable as it is beautiful.
Professor Plum’s Study
Our largest Premium King room, tucked on the fourth floor with views of 2nd Street and a glimpse of the harbor beyond. An alcove king-size bed, spacious sitting area, and a name that invites you to settle in and stay a while.
Henry & Elvira Room
Named for the Eagle House's founders, this third floor corner room overlooks 1st and C Streets with a slight harbor view. A fitting tribute — comfortable, characterful, and quietly distinguished.

QUEEN DELUXE ROOMS
Our Queen Deluxe rooms offer the same antique character and boutique charm as our Premium rooms in a slightly more intimate configuration — each featuring a luxuriously dressed queen-size bed and a sitting area furnished with exquisite antiques.

Manzanita Room
The only room at the Inn featuring two queen-size beds, making it ideal for families or friends traveling together. This gorgeous second floor room overlooks C Street with high ceilings and a bathroom with a walk-in shower — one of our most practical and beautiful rooms in one.
*Priced slightly above our queen deluxe rooms that have only one bed.
Grace Osborne Room
Located off the second story balcony overlooking the Grand Theatre Ballroom, this 2nd Street room has a quiet energy all its own. A queen bed and sitting area make it comfortable for two or more guests, and it adjoins the Norman Steinbock Room for groups traveling together.
Mabel Gustafson Room*
Also off the second story balcony, this 2nd Street room features a queen bed, TV, and small sitting area. Light, comfortable, and full of that intangible Eagle House charm.
Please note: this room has one to three steps and may not be suitable for guests with mobility considerations.
Miss Scarlett
One of our most distinctive rooms — a queen-size canopy bed, elegant atmosphere, and a quaint sitting area with TV. Miss Scarlett is exactly as dramatic as her name suggests, in the best possible way.
Saint Clair Room
This bright third floor corner room overlooks 2nd and C Streets with lovely Old Town views. A queen-size bed and a spacious corner window sitting area make it one of the sunniest and most welcoming rooms in the house.
Crimson Rose*
A third floor gem with bay views, a large sitting area with TV, a walk-in shower, and a step up to a queen-size bed that feels like a private retreat. One of our most requested rooms for good reason.
Please note: this room has one to three steps and may not be suitable for guests with mobility considerations.
Humboldt Bay
Our most view-forward Queen Deluxe room — a fourth floor perch with a picture window that frames a spectacular panorama of the harbor and Humboldt Bay. A queen-size bed and small sitting area let the view do the talking.
Captains Quarters
A fourth floor room with real personality — a cozy corner alcove overlooking Old Town and 2nd and C Streets, a queen-size bed, TV, and two wide plush benches that double as seating or sleeping space. A perfect choice for a family with two small children.
The Boudoir*
A fourth floor room with bay views, a queen-size bed tucked in a cozy alcove, and a small sitting area. A private connecting door adjoins the Harbor View Suite — ideal for groups wanting adjacent rooms with a shared entrance.
Please note: the Boudoir features a raised sleeping alcove with steps required to access both sides of the bed. Due to the interior steps throughout the room, it may not be suitable for guests with mobility considerations or difficulty navigating stairs, particularly during nighttime hours.

CLASSIC ROOMS
Our Classic rooms are intimate without sacrificing style — each one full of the eclectic character and historic intrigue that makes the Eagle House unlike any other boutique hotel on the Redwood Coast. For guests who spend their days exploring Humboldt and want a cozy, characterful retreat to return to, these rooms are exactly right.

CLASSIC INTERIOR ROOMS
Balcony Room
This second floor interior room faces the balcony overlooking the Grand Theatre Ballroom rather than the street outside — and what it trades in exterior views it more than makes up for in atmosphere. Queen-size bed, TV, and an eclectic, funky energy that guests fall for every time.
Redwood Room
A second floor interior room that opens onto the balcony overlooking the ballroom. Queen-size bed, TV, and a separate sitting area — but the real draw is the story this room tells. The reconstruction of the Eagle House is embedded in its very walls, making it one of the most historically intriguing rooms in the building.
The Humboldt Current
A second floor room that opens to the balcony overlooking the ballroom, with a queen-size bed, TV, and separate sitting area. Named for the powerful Pacific current that defines the North Coast's climate and character — fittingly atmospheric.
CLASSIC ROOMS
Little Ardeen
A quaint and cozy third floor retreat with a queen-size bed and small sitting area. Small in footprint, generous in charm — exactly what a classic boutique hotel room should feel like.
Little Pinnock
Our most intimate room — a fourth floor hideaway facing 2nd Street with a full-size bed. Perfect for the solo traveler or the guest who simply wants somewhere quiet, characterful, and completely their own.
Please note: our Classic Rooms are more intimate in size than our Deluxe and Premium accommodations and are best suited for guests who prioritize charm, value, and a cozy historic atmosphere. Three of the Classic Rooms are interior-facing and overlook our historic ballroom rather than the outside of the building. Two of these interior rooms also feature skylights for additional natural light. These quieter interior rooms can be an excellent option for guests seeking minimal street noise during their stay.
