Your experience begins with a bouquet of flowers and a bottle of one of our favorite California wines, delivered to your room upon arrival. Take time to relax and settle in before heading downstairs to Phatsy Kline’s for pre-dinner cocktails and a shared appetizer—the perfect start to your night.
From there, venture out to enjoy a romantic dinner at one of Old Town Eureka’s many charming restaurants. At a time of your choosing, enjoy a private horse-drawn carriage ride through the historic streets—whether as a magical prelude to your evening or a quiet, post-dinner escape.
Back in your room, a soy candle, essential massage oil, and a bar of locally made chocolate await—inviting you to unwind and savor the rest of your evening together.

PICNIC IN THE PARK
Discover one of California’s best-kept secrets. Nestled between the serene beauty of Humboldt Bay and the majestic redwood-covered mountains, Eureka offers the perfect backdrop for a memorable escape. Take in the sights at your own pace with one of our thoughtfully curated artisan picnic baskets—ideal for a day along the coast or beneath the towering redwoods.
This package includes a delicious picnic lunch for two, a bottle of sparkling juice or water, a locally made chocolate bar and the use of the Inn’s picnic basket and blanket, complete with all the necessary accoutrements for a relaxed and comfortable outing. For an added touch, a bottle of one of our favorite local California wines may be included for an additional charge.

After you’ve had time to relax, begin your evening with cocktails and a shared appetizer at Phatsy Kline’s, then venture out to enjoy dinner at one of Old Town Eureka’s many charming restaurants.
At a time of your choosing, explore the area with a private horse-drawn carriage ride through historic Old Town, or opt for a cruise aboard the Madaket, a 1910 original Humboldt Bay ferry gliding along the scenic waterfront. Please note: Madaket cruises are operated seasonally; kindly inquire about availability prior to selecting this option.
At the end of the evening, return to your room where a locally crafted chocolate bar awaits—a sweet finishing touch to a truly memorable celebration.
