A Boutique Victorian Hotel in the Heart of Old Town Eureka
A Victorian Landmark with Stories to Tell

Overlooking Humboldt Bay in the heart of Old Town Eureka, the Inn at 2nd & C is tucked inside one of California’s most captivating Victorian landmarks — the Historic Eagle House, Est. 1888. From the moment you arrive, you’ll feel it: the warmth of a family-run inn, the romance of Old World architecture, and the quiet thrill of a place that has stories to tell.
23 Individually Appointed Guest Rooms

Each of our 23 individually appointed guest rooms is a retreat unto itself — immaculately styled, full of character, and designed for true relaxation. When you’re ready to venture out,
Phatsy Kline’s Parlor Lounge awaits with handcrafted drinks, in-house dining, and a weekly lineup of live events that draw locals and travelers together under one beautiful roof.
Daily Touches That Make You Feel at Home
From your first afternoon to your last morning, small comforts are woven into every stay.
Afternoon Tea
Each afternoon from 3–5pm, help yourself to a selection of Harney & Sons tea sachets and a few cookies to go with them — a quiet, civilized pause to your day, whether you're returning from the Redwoods or settling in before dinner at Phatsy Kline's or one of the many wonderful restaurants nearby.
A Glass of Wine on Arrival
On evenings when Phatsy Kline's is closed, we welcome arriving guests with a complimentary glass of wine from 4–7pm — our way of saying hello and inviting you to slow down to Humboldt time the moment you walk through the door.

Phatsy's is closed Sunday-Tuesday and reopens Wednesdays at 4pm
Continental Breakfast
A complimentary continental breakfast is served each morning from 7:30–11am, with mostly organic, locally sourced offerings: fresh bagels and pastries from local bakers, artisan breads, seasonal fruit, hard-boiled eggs, and yogurt. To drink, orange juice, locally roasted coffee, and Harney & Sons tea.
Steps from Old Town, Minutes from the Redwoods

And beyond our doors? Old Town Eureka’s boutique shops, celebrated restaurants, and local museums are steps away — with the ancient Redwood forests, the wild Pacific Coast, and scenic rivers waiting just beyond the city’s edge.
This is your California escape. It’s been here since 1888, waiting for you.
